Forecast looked a bit dodgy and it was definitely going to be cold.  Bit cautious at the start with a strong spring tide under us but pursued Xara and Raffles on the beat down the Solent.  Stayed out in the channel for bit past the Forts then headed for Bembridge and then the finish.  90% spinnaker up when we got on the heading for the finish and a fairly hairy ride with plenty of broaches but nothing broken.  Downed the kite at about half distance and looks like we put a small rip in the top edge.  Considered putting the asymmetric up but selected on the high clewed reacher and kept it up till the finish.  First Class 6 boat to finish and a comprehensive win on handicap.
