Forecast was for15knts NW but as usual it was wrong and we were seeing over 20knts at times and mostly Westerly.  First race was due to be a windward/leeward race with the second a longer passage race. Beat up to Royal Thames from the start at East Knoll and were in the mix but picked up a lobster pot as we approached the mark so the rest of the fleet went past us.  After spinning around for a bit managed to shake off the pot and head after the rest of the fleet. Decent kite run back to Hill Head and then the second beat back to Royal Thames. Avoided all the pots and kite back up in stronger conditions.  Needed to jibe to make the finish and surprisingly under the strong wind it went well but does remind one why it is called "the dance of death".  Not surprisingly we finished last  but there always the second race.
