Spinnaker leg down tide from the start and out through Hurst nearly all the way to the Needles.  Bit of a drama getting the spinnaker down just before the lighthouse but managed not to rip it on the end of the boom and straight back up once round.   Down wind all night  till 3 miles off Cherbourg when we noticed we were heading for the wrong entrance, quick course change / spinnaker drop and a good excuse for throwing away all the gains we had achieved over night, but still I only got a grade 5 CSE  in French.  Lazy day in Cherbourg and an early start back on Sunday in attempt to beat the weather.  Quick / lumpy crossing and back on the mooring by 20:00, thankfully before the gales came in.
