Strong tide on the line but decent breeze so able to hold for a good start in clear air away from Gurnard and headed out into the stronger tide away from the Island shore.  Alchemist and Blazer went for the Island side and it seemed to be paying off on the beat to the Forts.  Stayed in the channel to the Nab to keep the tide but well behind the leaders, gibe round the old rusty bucket and spinnaker up all the way to the finish.  Couple of jibes that went quite well once we remembered to let the downhaul off and seemed to make up some ground on Alchemist but did not do much on Blazer who got a good first place.  Fourth overall so not too bad in the end but need to find some way of improving our upwind performance in stronger breezes.
